You made the new gym a reality!

With your help, we raised $12.5k to meet our matching grant goal and partner with the Centro de Intercambio y Solidaridad to build the new safer and sustainable facility!

This new facility is designed as open-air, allowing for shade and protection from the elements, but with better air circulation in the context of pandemic concerns. This new facility also allows the gym programming its own space, rather than a shared community center, where other meetings or even the storage of agricultural supplies sometimes take precedence over our training. The new gym design also prioritizes inclusivity with a special children’s corner so that mothers can safely bring their young children with them. Without this new construction effort, the gym was simply not safe or sustainable.
